Why is it people find it so hard to love, but so easy to hate? Why is it people request permission to love but use any excuse to hate? Why is it people go only so far to show love but will go to any length to express hate?

Jesus detected this disgusting tendency, that’s why He taught so much about love. Love God, love your neighbor, love each other, and love yourself. The Apostle Paul was also aware of this terrible inclination. That’s why he said that you can have all the gifts, talents, and abilities possible in order to do all sorts of wonderful things for others, but if they are not done in love they are a waste of time.

Remember that hit song by Dionne Warwick, “What the world needs now is love sweet love?” But it is more than just human love, it’s God’s love. Because God turns everything around. He finds it so easy to love and so hard to hate. He will use any reason to love and turn down any excuse to hate. He will go to any length to express His love but will always stop short of expressing any hate. If you want any proof, just read John 3:16.

So just remember this, each time you hate for whatever reason, and sometimes for no reason at all, you are not a true Christian. Jesus did not teach us to hate, He taught us to love. – Dr. Robert R Seyda
