I once read this quote from an unknown author: “Never deprive someone of hope – it may be all they have.” The Bible says that faith is the basis for having hope.1 So if hope is already gone, there is no chance for faith to develop. Most Christians are hoping that Jesus will return soon. But if we lose that hope then our faith in God’s promise to send Him back will fade away. That’s why the Apostle Paul said: “We are saved by hope. And hope means looking forward to getting something we don’t yet have – for a person who already has something doesn’t need to hope that they will get it.”2 So don’t take anyone’s hope away. – Dr. Robert R Seyda
