WHAT DID JESUS REALLY SAY

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

We’ve just completed our study of the Gospel according to Matthew, Chapter 7, with some groundbreaking discoveries in what Jesus was really saying.

Jesus explained how giving dogs something that was sacred was a reference to sacrifices meant for the Temple, but did not qualify, were still of some use and should not be fed to the dogs.  And the pearls that must not be thrown to pigs was a reference to words of wisdom that should not be wasted on people who continue to wallow in their own foolishness.

Also that asking seeking and knocking are in the continuous tense, so we should never give up on our quest for more wisdom and understanding of God’s plan for our lives.  There are many walking a broad way to destruction who are not willing to get rid of their long standing attitudes and biases, but there are those who are ready to give God whatever He desires in order to walk on the narrow way to the destiny He has chosen for them.

Then we saw that both the wise builder and foolish builder may have used the same floor plan and architecture, but it was where they laid the foundation for their house that determined whether it would stand or fall when the winds, rains and floods came.

Now in Chapter 8, we will find how Jesus goes from His monologue in preaching to a dialogue in teaching new truths and insights about faith and faithfulness.  I can hardly wait to share with you what has been discovered in examining these scriptures in their contextual setting.

But that will start that study after we take our Christmas/New Year’s break so that you can enjoy this time of year in celebrating the arrival of God’s Son in the form of man on this earth so that He could become our Redeemer, Savior and Lord.

So celebrate this season of joy, and I’ll see you back here on Monday, January  4, 2016.  God bless you for your continued love and reverence for His holy Word. – Dr. Robert R. Seyda
