POINTS TO PONDER

It is amazing how many speeches are given, laws are written, and decisions are made based on how little people know, not how much knowledge they have assimilated. I say that because for every fact we know, there are thousands out there we do not know. The only way to increase our knowledge is to read, study and access those additional truths and words of wisdom, before making up our minds. That’s why it amazes me when legislators vote for a bill they have not read and politicians propose rules and regulations without considering their redundancy. But the most flagrant is when someone gives their opinion. Webster defines opinion as “a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.” No wonder Jesus did not come to give us His opinion, but to bring us the solid, undeniable truth His Father in heaven gave Him about the requirements for salvation and everlasting life. Anyone who disputes what Jesus said, or offers you a different plan of salvation, just remember, it’s only their opinion. – Dr. Robert R. Seyda
