UPDATE FOR ALL MY STUDENTS
We have now finished Matthew, Chapter Three. We found that John the Baptizer was a relative of Jesus; also that his water baptism was based on the Jewish rite of purification; that he was not a voice crying in the wilderness, but a voice crying: “In the wilderness prepare a way for the Lord.” We also got a better understanding of what repentance means, and the background of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Our next study will be Chapter Four beginning on Monday, October 12. We examine our Lord’s temptation in the wilderness; the beginning of His preaching ministry; His calling of the first disciples; and the start of His healing ministry. There are some exciting discoveries found in this chapter, I don’t want you to miss it.
So post a reminder on your computer screen. You can make this your daily devotion time. And I pray that it will increase your hunger to know more about God’s Word, so that you get to know more about Him, His Son, and His Holy Spirit.
So I invite you to use this posting as an opportunity to ask any questions you may have on what we’ve studied, and comments you want to share, or anything that has helped you get a better understanding of what it means to be a believer in Jesus Christ.
