Whenever the song leader or pastor asks you to lift your hands in prayer or praise to the Lord, remind yourself that lifted hands are a sign of surrender. So when you raise your hands to magnify the Lord, if you are not truly signaling your surrender to Him and His will, then put your hands back down until you really mean it.
